People
River Three (R3) Programme

Rock Melon Planting Project
We have always supported lifelong learning and skill development through experiential learning. The Rock Melon Planting Project enables both the staff and students from the institute to gain hands-on experience in the entire fruit juice production cycle, from seeding and planting to the final stages of juice making, including bottling.


MoU Exchange Ceremony with IKBN Naka
We formalised a partnership with IKBN Naka, a TVET Institute in Kedah.

TVET Wall Mural Painting Initiative
We partnered with Nippon Paint to create the “TVET Wall” mural at ADTEC Pasir Gudang, promoting TVET education and creating an inspiring campus environment.
The launch ceremony was officiated by Mr Tan Kim Weng, General Manager, and YBhg Datuk Rospiagos Bin Taha, Ketua Pengarah of Jabatan Tenaga Manusia.

ESG-Themed Annual Dinner
The operations team from Teluk Panglima Garang organised a sustainability-focused dinner where staff practised eco-friendly initiatives, including using recyclable materials for decorations, adopting reusable lunch boxes, and minimising food waste through thoughtful planning.





Planet
Mangrove Tree Planting Project at Negeri Sembilan
Planting mangrove trees along the seaside serves as an effective natural defence against storm surges, while also stabilising shorelines and providing ideal nursery habitats for marine life.
This initiative aims to raise awareness among our stakeholders about the importance of preserving natural resources, not only contributing to carbon sequestration but also filtering water and trapping sediment to prevent erosion.

Food Composting Project at Kian Joo Botanical Garden, Batu Caves
The Groundbreaking Ceremony was officiated by Ms Bernadette, Group Chief Operating Officer, Mr Ho, Head of Corporate Sustainability, and Mr Ang, General Manager of Batu Caves.

Food Composting Project at ADTEC Pasir Gudang Campus
The Johor team partnered with ADTEC Pasir Gudang to establish a food composting system, enabling staff and students to gain hands-on experience in transforming food waste into nutrient-rich fertiliser while reducing kitchen waste.
The ceremony was officiated by Mr Tan Kim Weng, General Manager, and Ybhg Datuk Rospiagos Bin Taha, Ketua Pengarah of Jabatan Tenaga Manusia.

Tree Planting Programme at Elmina Business Park
We sponsored a tree-planting initiative organised by Majlis Perbandaran Selayang, promoting green landscaping and enhancing the aesthetic appeal of the community while supporting improved quality of living.

Community Investment
Water Tank Donation to River Three Park
The Batu Caves team initiated a community investment programme as part of long-term efforts to create a more sustainable living environment for the local community.
We contributed a water tank to Taman Melawati River Three Park, Alliance of River Three (ART!), enabling the local community to store collected water for conservation activities. This supports ongoing rewilding and preservation of riverine areas, helping to build a sustainable ecosystem around the Batu Caves operations.


River Cleaning Project at Desa Ria
As part of ongoing community investment efforts, the Nilai team partnered with the local community in Desa Ria, Negeri Sembilan, to implement a river cleaning initiative, demonstrating responsible corporate citizenship and contributing to a healthier living environment.




Kian Joo Orang Asli Programme
In partnership with Jabatan Kemajuan Orang Asli (JAKOA), the Batu Caves team established a long-term community investment programme to support the Orang Asli community at Kuala Pangsun, Hulu Langat, through initiatives including upgrades to kindergarten facilities and healthcare support activities.

Hari Alam Sekitar Negara Sponsorship
The Nilai team supported the Negeri Sembilan state government’s Hari Alam Sekitar Negara initiative, demonstrating commitment to environmental awareness and community engagement.

TVET Mural Painting Initiative at ADTEC Nibong Tebal
In a joint effort with Nippon Paint, we supported a three-week mural painting project at ADTEC Nibong Tebal, promoting TVET education and skill development. Students and staff from ADTEC, together with our employees, collaborated to create the mural, which was sponsored by Nippon Paint.
The initiative was witnessed by En Ts Adnan, Pengarah of ADTEC Nibong Tebal, and Mr Tan B.W., Chief Operating Officer of Box-Pak.

Blood Donation Drive at Carton Plant
The Batu Caves team partnered with Pusat Perubatan Universiti Malaya (PPUM) to organise a blood donation drive at the Carton Plant, promoting community health and employee volunteerism.
